This thesis aims to discuss the symbolic features and descriptions in Tender Is the Night. As narrated in 1.2, the symbolism in Tender Is the Night is partly influenced by John Keats and his “Ode to a Nightingale”. Besides, some symbolic descriptions in the novel are influenced by the literary features of its time. These features will be illustrated in details later.
