II. Grammar Teaching
2.1 Concept of Grammar
Grammar is one of the learning difficulties in middle school English curriculum. The out-dated teaching ideas and teaching methods cannot mobilize students’ interests in learning and efficiency (Wang 46). Grammar is a branch of linguistic. It studies the inflections of “words” and “words” that are used to determine usage, or other means of expressing relationships, and the functions and relationships of words. It contains words, rules and wording. Grammar has two meanings. One refers to the grammatical structure itself, that is, grammatical facts. The other refers to grammar, which is the science of exploring and describing grammatical structures. The grammatical themselves are not pided. However, due to the inconsistent materials, observational perspectives, and analytical methods possessed by grammarians, the grammar system is pided. Grammar includes two parts:lexical and syntactic. Lexical mainly refers to the composition, change and classification of words. Syntax mainly refers to the formation and changing rules of grammatical units such as phrases and sentences. Grammar refers to the basic rules organized from the concrete practice of language. Familiarity with grammar rules is helpful to use the language correctly. It is the most important way to improve the verbal communication accuracy. All the words and phrases are based on grammar. Grammatical rules are the organic combination of language usage, concrete forms and sentence.
