The cooperative learning method was adopted in the educational practice. It is an interaction between students in the class as the main target, which can stimulate students’ learning initiative and enthusiasm, test the effect of the application of cooperative learning teaching model in junior high school teaching. In the implementation of the experiment, teachers pide the student into some groups orderly to cultivate the students’ cooperation and communication skills, guide students to complete the task in cooperative activities with other groups, and improve the level of English academic and English language skills. At the same time, students can actively participate in English classroom activities to improve their communication skills and cooperative awareness.
This paper explores the present situation of the group cooperative learning in English classroom teaching, realizes the problems existing in the cooperative learning and the deep reasons behind these problems through the experiment and quests method, puts forward the strategy to solve these problems according to the characteristics of English subject. The application of these strategies in the teaching process is based on students’ cooperative learning, which ultimately improves the effectiveness of cooperative learning. This study is putting forward the corresponding implementation strategy which is used for the future development of cooperative learning group, as well as providing certain enlightening significance and reference value for junior middle school English teachers’ teaching.

It is necessary to understand the connotation of following cooperative learning in order to grasp the connotation of cooperative learning model better. In cooperative activities, inpiduals seek to benefit both themselves and others. Cooperative learning is guided by the use of group teaching, so that students can study together to maximize the learning effect of all students. In practice, “group cooperative learning” is a kind of teaching activity based on class teaching and group activity as the basic teaching form. According to the students’ gender, personality, academic achievement, moral character and psychological quality, various factors are pided into several groups. In the course of teaching, the group activities are the core, and students are required to cooperate with each other, and try together, and use the group’s overall score as the basis for evaluation and reward. Collaborative effort allows participants to pursue common interests, so that all the team members can benefit from the common efforts. They recognize that everyone shares the same fate, and realize personal performance is obtained by inpiduals and other team members.
